BATON ROUGE, La. (NBC Local 33)(Fox 44) –
The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office said, “at 7:00 this morning a bus driver notified school administrator that some students were behaving as if they ingested drugs. 3 were transported by EMS for symptoms.”
The investigation into this incident remains ongoing.
A third student was sent to the hospital in stable condition after ingesting an “unknown substance”. Original reports said two, but EMS confirms three students were hospitalized.
Three students in Baton Rouge are recovering in a hospital after Baton Rouge EMS officials say they ingested some kind of substance.
EMS spokesperson Mike Chustz said crews responded to Beechwood Superintendent Academy in the Scotlandville area this morning regarding the incident.
Chustz said seven students were evaluated and released back to the school and their parents while the other three were hospitalized.
