BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Two fires broke out in Baton Rouge on Tuesday morning and the Baton Rouge Fire Department was able to put them both out.

Firefighters arrived at 10567 Rhus Fringe Dr. around 1:30 a.m. and got the fire under control in about 30 minutes.

A fire alarm alerted the one person in the home to the fire.

The person was not successful in putting the fire out which was near the fireplace.

When firefighters got to the home, more than half of it was on fire.

Entergy and EMS assisted the Baton Rouge Fire Department at the scene.

Fire investigators are still working to determine the cause of this fire.
