Two Port Allen residents arrested on drug and firearm charges

The Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested two Port Allen residents on drug and firearm charges Saturday.  

According to Sheriff Brett Stassi on February 24, narcotic agents with the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Daniel Aughey, 45 and Jennifer Kent, 29.

Sheriff Stassi said, Aughey, of 4310 Balis By Pass, was booked into the Iberville Parish Jail on the following charges:

  • possession with intent to distribute Schedule II narcotics;
  • possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; 
  • possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance; and
  • possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile.

Stassi said, Kent, of 12911 Cypress Street, was booked into jail on the following charges:

  • possession with intent to distribute Schedule II narcotics;
  • possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance; and
  • possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile.
