Two suspects facing Second Degree Murder charges, one arrested, one still on the loose

PLAQUEMINE, La. (BRPROUD) – One person was arrested and another remains on the run in connection with a recent shooting incident on Marshall St. & Nats Alley.

The Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call about shots fired one week ago.

After arriving at the scene, “Officers recovered more than 30 casing from two different caliber guns.”

Despite leaving the shooting scene before officers could get there, 28-year-old Lawrence Pugh was subsequently arrested and charged with Attempted 2nd Degree Murder.

Another suspect in this shooting is also facing a 2nd Degree Murder charge.

Raymon Battiste has not been captured and the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating this shooting suspect.
