BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting outside of an AT&T store on Siegen Ln. earlier this week.

23-year-old Raymond McKay III, of Independence and 18-year-old Reshard Johnson, of Kentwood, were booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Thursday, December 23.

The arrests stem from a shooting and chase that started around 4:45 p.m. at the AT&T store located in the 9800 block of Siegen Ln. on Tuesday, December 21.

The ensuing investigation found that a man and woman were shot at while leaving the AT&T store.

The man and woman got into a Toyota Corolla and a third person drove away.

Around six bullet holes were later found in the Corolla.

The shooter left the scene in a Ford Escape that contained multiple individuals, according to the affidavit.

A police chase followed that included I-10, I-12 and both Livingston and Tangipahoa parishes.

The chase ended in Tangipahoa Parish.

Three individuals were subsequently arrested after a foot chase. One of them was Raymond McKay III.

Law enforcement was able to seize a firearm that matched “the same caliber spent shell casings from the scene,” according to the affidavit.

McKay III and Johnson are both charged with three counts of Attempted First Degree Murder.
