WASHINGTON (BRPROUD)- The. U.S. Department of Transportation releases its Air Travel Consumer Report (ATCR) consumer reports for on time performances, mishandled baggage and more. COVID-19 resulted in significant changes to airlines operations in October 2021.
The ATCR is designed to assist consumers with information on the quality on services reported by airlines including concerning flight cancellations, delays, consumers complaints.

In October 2021 on-time flight arrival rate of 79.9%, down from 84.5%.
On-time flights: Hawaiian Airlines had the highest on-time flight arrivals of –94.1% while Allegiant Air was reported the lowest of on-time flight arrival rate of 65.9%.
Cancelled Flights: Hawaiian Airlines reported the lowest 0.2% compared to Southwest Airlines reported 3.8%.
Airline Service Complaints: The U.S. Department of Transportation received 3,832 complaints about airline services from consumers which is down 10.3% from 4,271 reported September 2021.
Operated flights in October 2021 were up 56.4% year-over-year from the 372,544 flights operated in October 2020 and up 4.0% month-over-month from the 560,140 flights operated in September 2021, according to ATCR.
