First Lady Donna Edwards has spent her last three Christmases in the mansion and is now looking forward to four more.

While where she spends her family’s Christmas morning has changed, many traditions are still the same.

Tradition fills the first floor of the Governor’s Mansion during the season; from the trees adorned with the official state ornament, to the trees adorned with ornaments from schools in each of Louisiana’s 64 parishes.

For decades and spanning multiple administrations, the Governor’s mansion has long represented the people’s house. Especially during the Christmas holiday season, First Lady Edwards invites you to explore the mansion’s magic for yourself.
