The City of Fairfield shared surveillance footage from Tuesday showing a dust devil in action.
Caught on camera was also a man, who appears to get caught up in the little devil at Alan Witt Park.
There were no reported injuries.
If you aren’t familiar with dust devils, they’re small rotating columns of air that can result when one piece of ground heats up faster than the ground surrounding it on a hot, calm, dry day.
According to the American Meteorological Society, dust devils range in width from about 10 feet to 100 feet and have an average height of about 650 feet.
