Vigil set for Baton Rouge activist, Sadie Roberts-Joseph


Family and friends will gather to remember who many called a ‘Baton Rouge legend.’

Sadie Roberts-Joseph founded the Odell S. Williams African American History Museum in 2001.

Roberts-Joseph was found dead in the trunk of her own car Friday afternoon just 3 miles away from her home.

Autopsy reports later confirmed she was suffocated before being placed in the trunk.

Many throughout the Baton Rouge community and nation have been pouring out their love and sending condolences to Robert-Joseph’s family.

Police are still seeking answers in her death.

The vigil is set to get underway at 6 p.m. at the Odell S. Williams African American History Museum.
