BATON ROUGE, La (WVLA/WGMB) — Voters across Louisiana returned to the polls Friday, to cast their ballots on a number of elections across Louisiana. According to pollster John Couvillion, voter turnout is expected to be a lot less.
It is also dependent on the voter’s parish.
Over in East Baton Rouge, their is a runoff between Democratic Mayor Sharon-Weston Broome and Republican challenger Steve Carter. Other parishes in the Central and Northern parts of the state can expect to see some congressional or judicial runoffs. Other parishes may only vote on the constitutional amendment.
Voters have through next Saturday to vote early. Polls will be closed next Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving Holiday. When you head out to the polls remember to bring an id.
