Walmart to host two COVID-19 vaccine events this week in East Baton Rouge Parish

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Two Walmart locations in East Baton Rouge Parish will serve as COVID-19 vaccination sites this week.

Insurance is not required, and the vaccinations are free, but those eligible for vaccination at this time will need to schedule an appointment in order to receive their vaccine at Walmart. Click here to schedule an appointment.

Eligible people can make an appointment Thursday through Monday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to receive a COVID-19 vaccine at one of the following locations:

  • Walmart Supercenter located at 9350 Cortana Place in Baton Rouge
  • Walmart Supercenter located at 14507 Plank Road in Baker

Those who schedule an appointment must bring their ID, their insurance card if they have one and proof of vaccine eligibility, such as a work ID, if applicable.

People who receive the vaccine will have to remain at the site for 15 minutes after receiving the vaccine to ensure they do not have an adverse reaction to it.
