BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The LSU Tigers are coming off an emphatic win over the Florida Gators by a score of 45-35.

Jayden Daniels accounted for a total of six touchdowns, three on the ground and three through the air.

The victory ran the Tigers record to 5-2 on the year.

There is not rest for the weary as undefeated Ole Miss is coming to town on Saturday.

The 7th ranked Rebels bring a record of 7-0 into the afternoon game at Death Valley.

The game between the Tigers and Rebels is scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m.

Prior to that matchup, LSU head coach Brian Kelly spoke with the media at noon on Monday, October 17.

Our Brian Holland provided some highlights from the news conference on Monday.

When asked about special teams, Brian Kelly said, “I think we all see the same thing…those guys know they have to be accountable and we have to put them in a position to succeed”

Brian Kelly saw ESPN’s Chris Doering in a clown suit after losing a bet and said, “I think if you keep betting (against LSU) you get what you’re in for.”

When it comes to LSU’s next opponent, Coach Kelly said that Lane Kiffin offenses are “great at scouting…If you do anything defensively they’re going to have an answer for that.”

Kelly gave props to LSU’s two True Freshmen Tackles, “I don’t believe I’ve ever started two freshman (at one time) on the Offensive Line period.” “These guys are asking for more. That’s (unusual).”

If LSU beats Ole Miss on Saturday, the Tigers will be tied with Alabama for the top spot in the SEC West.
