WATCH: Coast Guard medevacs man from boat near Grand Isle

NEW ORLEANS, La. (BRPROUD) — On Friday, a Coast Guard crew medevaced a man who was in distress off of Grand Isle.

A 47-year-old man had “symptoms consistent with a potential heart attack,” according to the Coast Guard.

A helicopter crew was sent to get the man after the call came in around 11:30 a.m.

The Coast Guard crew was able to rescue the man who was taken to a hospital.

The man was “reportedly in stable condition,” according to the Coast Guard.
