HAMMOND, La. (BRPROUD) – The Hammond Police Department would like the public to watch the video found here.

Based on a witness account, Hammond PD believes that two men got out of the silver car seen below and shot towards some apartments.

The call came in on Thursday, February 3 and officers “responded to a shooting on Pecan Street at the railroad tracks,” according to the Hammond Police Department.

Officers found someone who was shot in the leg and arm and that person reportedly was in stable condition at the time.

That person was evidently not the intended target of the gunmen.

While stopped at the railroad tracks, a witness saw everything unfold in front of them.

The witness told this to detectives, “She saw two black males exit a silver Toyota Corolla and begin shooting eastward towards a set of apartments. Then she saw the Corolla speed through the Nash’s Express parking lot.”

Video of the suspects’ vehicle was found and it showed the duo going east on Blackburn Rd. after hurrying though the Nash’s Express parking lot.
