BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A Twitter user is sharing this video of a large crowd gathered outside a local nightclub.
This gathering happened over the weekend and it appears to show a lot of people close together and not wearing masks.
The video looks like it shows a long line of people waiting to get inside a nightclub on Bennington Ave.
Law enforcement was notified and this comes after Mayor Broome asked the public to follow the mandates.
Mayor Broome also released this statement over the weekend:
It has come to my attention a number of venues are hosting large parties and gatherings which violate COVID compliance & Baton Rouge Phase 2 guidelines.

It is not clear if this statement is in direct response to the nightclub video.
