For Worldwide Day of Gratitude, Kids’ Orchestra (KO) today joined student-led global movement started by YOUnison to honor first responders and healthcare workers on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The KO community partnered with several East Baton Rouge (EBR) Parish musicians to create a special rendition of “Lean on Me” by Bill Withers. The KO rendition is now available on YouTube.
“Music truly does bring people together and this has been such a meaningful collaboration for our students and our team. We greatly appreciate all the frontline workers in our community who are putting their lives on the line to keep us safe during this pandemic. We can’t thank them enough, but we hope that our gratitude shows through our music,” says Brian Gallion, KO Operations Director.
KO invites the community to join YOUnison’s Worldwide Day of Gratitude by sharing its “Lean on Me” video with frontline workers and posting on social media with the hashtags #LeanOnUs and #DayofGratitude.
