WATCH: The science behind adulting

News

When do you call yourself an adult? Is it when you’re 18? 25? 35?

recent study is saying although you’re legally an adult at 18, your brain still has more than a decade to go to develop to an adult level.

Professors at Oxford put adulthood into a magic number: 30 years old. Some people in northeast Kansas aren’t convinced by the numbers, like Leticia Bell and Mayree Gracia.

“How they grew up, and when they think they become adults, I think that’s what makes them adults. You can’t really put an age on it,” Bell said.

“There’s a lot of different factors to consider you an adult, there’s no number, just depends on your situation,” Gracia said.

There’s a quiz designed by a psychologist that tests where you fall on the “adulting” scale of 14 different areas.
