Louisiana first responders are providing help to those in need after Hurricane Michael struck the Florida panhandle.
Louisiana Urban Search and Rescue teams are working hard and one of the state’s most famous cooks decided to show his appreciation by cooking a dinner for the teams.
Emeril Lagasse joined the World Central Kitchen organization and found his way to the base camp.
Lagasse was joined by Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser and State Fire Marshal Butch Browning in Florida.
Along with preparing food for the USAR taskforce teams, Lagasse and Lt. Governor Nungesser “toured the damaged areas they’ve been working as well as the Forward Operations Base they deploy out of each morning.”
The Florida CFO thanked everyone for all of their help with the state’s disaster recovery.
