Baton Rouge General Medical Center

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Baton Rouge General recommends that women who are 40 and older get a mammogram.

With that in mind, any woman 40 and older is invited to a special event later this month.

For those that have questions or might be less inclined to get a mammogram, Baton Rouge General is hosting “Mammos & Mimosas.”

On Saturday, October 23, women can stop by BRG’s Bluebonnet campus and take part in this event.

If you show up between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m., BRG is offering this to visitors:

  • A free brunch certificate to Bistro Byronz to use whenever they want,
  • A swag bag with goodies from local retailers like Kendra Scott
  • A private, clinical breast exam performed by a BRG physician
  • A private mammogram performed by a mammography technician from BRG’s Women’s Center

BRG is requiring that anyone who wants to attend, please register at BRG Mammograms.

According to the hospital, “Registration is $20 and won’t be filed with your insurance.”

Anyone who plans to stop by must have a mask on inside the hospital.

BRG’s Bluebonnet campus is located at 8585 Picardy Ave.
