NEW ORLEANS, La. (BRPROUD) – Christmas came early for the families of members in the 256th Infantry Brigade Combat Team.
Almost 2,000 soldiers with the Louisiana National Guard returned home earlier this month.
These soldiers were away from home for a better part of one year.
Member of the 256th Infantry Brigade Combat Team were stationed all over the world.
Some of their assignments are listed below:
- Base defense operations in the Middle East in support of U.S. Central Command’s Operations Inherent Resolve and Spartan Shield
- Operating in Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq and Syria, the brigade worked with multiple coalition forces.
- The brigade also provided first aid training to the Syrian Democratic Force’s Critical Petroleum Infrastructure Guard Academy
