WEST BATON ROUGE PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) – Experts say that reading books with young children aids in expanding their vocabulary, familiarizes them with proper language structure, and helps them develop critical thinking skills.
In today’s busy world it’s often challenging for parents to find pockets of time to read with young children.
One avenue of assistance in this regard can be found at the local library.
For example, the West Baton Rouge Library offers weekly Story Time events for children of all ages on Tuesdays at 10 a.m.
The atmosphere is relaxed yet educational, and in addition to reading with children, the library keeps each young participant entertained with songs, rhymes, and other fun activities.
Story Time typically lasts for about 25 minutes.
