Who has the best chicken tenders? Raising Cane’s beats out Popeyes in this list

Chick-fil-A knows what it’s doing. The white meat chicken is always tender and juicy, and the bun is always steamed until soft and pillowy. While the pickles are small, the sandwich is blessedly free of mayonnaise and iceberg lettuce. The only real criticism, and it’s a big one, is that the crust on the chicken is not very crisp; $4.15. NEW ORLEANS, La. (WDSU) – Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who has the best chicken fingers of them all?

One food website puts Raising Cane’s at the top of the pack.

“There’s not a ton of seasoning here, just a kick of salt and pepper. That’s kind of the point,” Thrillist writes in its decision for picking Raising Cane’s as No. 1.

Thrillist, a food, drink and travel website, ranked 15 American fast-food chains for their chicken fingers.

The website ranked the items on their tenderness, breading, seasoning and “overall deliciousness.”

Raising Cane’s, which started out in Louisiana, beat out another Bayou State favorite — Popeyes. Popeyes landed the No. 2 spot, but there wasn’t any explanation or differentiation for what set the two fast-food chains apart.

The top five are: Raising Cane’s, Popeyes, Culver’s, Chick-fil-A and Long John Silver’s.
