BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The LSU Tigers were one of eight SEC teams chosen as a regional host site for the 2023 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship. The Tigers received the 5th overall seed in the tournament. LSU found out on Monday, May 29 that they will be joined by Tulane, Sam Houston State University and Oregon State in Baton Rouge.

Former LSU baseball coach Skip Bertman was in attendance to watch the proceedings.

The LSU baseball team, along with fans, found out who they are going to play during the NCAA Baseball Selection Show on ESPN2. While you may have watched on your phone or television, the Tigers learned their fate while watching in the Champion’s Club of Alex Box Stadium, according to LSU Athletics.

The Tigers enter the NCAA Baseball Tournament with a record of 43-15. The Baton Rouge Regional will begin on Friday, June 2 at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.
