DONALDSONVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) — Love chicken wings? Visit the Donaldsonville Wing Fest this weekend.
The festival is a cooking competition of fried and BBQ wings that is hosted by the Donaldsonville Area Chamber of Commerce. The competition is broken up into three departments: fried, BBQ, and “Too Hot to Handle.”

Where is the festival? The festival is held in Donaldsonville at Crescent Park located at 314 Mississippi Street.
What time does it start? The festival is scheduled from 1-9 p.m. on Saturday, June 3. Set up begins at noon.
Will there be live music? A Louisiana festival isn’t a festival without live music. Larry Neal and the Neal Brothers Blues Band are set to hit the main stage from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
How much is the festival? The festival is free, according to the website.
What’s the predicted weather? On Saturday, the low for the day will be 70 degrees and the high will sit at a hot 92 degrees with a 40% chance of rain toward the later hours of the festival.
Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, but ice chests and pets are not allowed.
