A Baton Rouge woman was arrested on two counts of cruelty to a juvenille Tuesday after allegedly attacking a 9-year-old girl and the girl’s 15-year-old sister.
Natasha Williams, 31, of 2015 Chestnut St. was arrested after the girls’ mother called police and alleged that Williams caused her daughters to receive traumatic injuries.
The 9-year-old victim told Baton Rouge police that Williams attacked her after they had a brief argument. The child said Williams hit and choked her, painfully scratching her left shoulder. The responding officer noted there were superficial abrasions to the girl’s face, neck and left shoulder, according to an affidavit.
The 15-year-old victim said she tried to call her mother after she witnessed her sister get attacked, and that’s when Williams allegedly turned to attack her, leaving her with scratches on her face, the affidavit reveals.
The officer wrote that there was swelling and a superficial abrasion below one of the 15-year-old victim’s eyes.
Williams told the officer that she struck the 9-year-old child on her arm, and she said she may have unintentionally caused the abrasion to the child’s neck by pulling on the girl’s shirt after she fell to the ground.
Williams said it was the 15-year-old who attacked her, and she said she only pushed her off in self-defense.
Williams was later booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
