Woman sought for opening fire in Bourbon Street restaurant over food order, NOPD says

NEW ORLEANS, La. (WDSU) —

The New Orleans Police Department is searching for a woman who police say opened fire in a Bourbon Street restaurant over a food order.

The shooting happened Sunday morning in the 400 block of Bourbon Street.

At approximately 2:20 a.m., police say the woman became irate over the quality of her food and began punching a cook.

The victim stopped the fight and escorted the woman out of the restaurant, police said.

According to the NOPD, the woman returned and pulled a handgun from her purse, demanding a refund.

The report says the victim asked the woman to leave, then the woman fired a shot into the back wall of the business before exiting onto Bourbon Street.
