BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Women in Media, a group promoting personal and professional growth for women in the media field, is partnering with Kean’s Fine Dry Cleaning to host its annual clothing drive on Saturday.

The Attire for Hire Clothing Drive will benefit disadvantaged women who are re-entering the workforce, according to a press release from Women in Media. The clothing drive will be open from 9 a.m. to noon at the YMCA located at 350 S. Foster Drive in Baton Rouge.

Women in Media is seeking gently used or new professional women’s clothing and accessories, including business suits, blouses, slacks, dresses, scarves, shoes and purses, according to the group.

Those clothing items will go directly to groups that help women who face financial difficulties, have fallen victim to physical or mental abuse, or who are recovering from alcohol or drug addictions.

For more information on the clothing drive, contact Women in Media President Laurie Hardison at 225-931-7090 or info@womeninmediabr.com.
