BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Early voting in Louisiana for the Nov. 8 election began Tuesday. On Wednesday, Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin shared the number of Louisianans who cast their votes on the first day of early voting.

A total of 35,312 Louisianans voted in person on Tuesday, according to Ardoin. In comparison, 39,546 Louisiana voters cast early voting ballots in 2018.

Early voting will continue through Tuesday, Nov. 1 (excluding Sunday, Oct. 30) from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. To find voter information, visit sos.la.gov.
