BATON ROUGE, La. (LOCAL 33) (FOX 44) — Police are trying to determine what led a Zachary driver to veer off the road and flip his vehicle mid-air early Sunday on Interstate 110.

The driver, 20-year-old Lonny Myles, died at around 3 a.m. Sunday morning on North I-110 near the Harding Boulevard entrance ramp. Myles’ northbound 2011 Nissan Armada crossed into southbound traffic and hit a light pole, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.

Police claim Myles was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.

Authorities said no other vehicles were involved in the collision.
