BATON ROUGE, La. (BRProud) — BREC has announced the five films that will play during its drive-in movie style marathon, Wheels & Reels, on Sat., Aug 29. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Airline Hwy Park Fairgrounds and pre-registration is required.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Airline Hwy Park Fairgrounds and pre-registration is required.

“With the COVID-19 pandemic forcing the cancelation of popular summer events and entertainment venues, BREC is turning Airline Highway Park into a pop-up drive-in movie theater to offer our community a safe way to have some summer fun from the safety of their own cars,” said BREC Superintendent Corey Wilson.

Tickets will be sold for $5 per carload, per movie. Additionally, a limited number of all-day passes for $10 per carload will be available. No tickets will be sold at the gate. Pre-register at brec.org/wheelsandreels.

No concessions will be sold on-site. Attendees should plan to bring their own food, drinks and seating.

BREC also promises a day filled with raffles, giveaways and more. Social distancing will be enforced.
