BATON ROUGE, La. (WVLA/WGMB) — In an effort to ease stressors related to the ongoing Coronavirus scare and to help overall health, CareSouth is offering free beginner yoga classes to the public.
Classes will be provided at no-charge to the communities in Plaquemine and Donaldsonville, however communications director Michelle McCalope says people need not live in those two areas to attend the classes.
The classes are open to those 13 years of age and older. Yoga mats will be available for people to borrow at no cost while on-site. Anyone under the age of 18 should be accompanied by a parent and a waiver must be signed.
The classes will be held from noon to 1 p.m.:
Every Tuesday at CareSouth Medical and Dental, 59340 River West Drive, in Plaquemine until May 26.
Every Wednesday at CareSouth Medical and Dental, 904 Catalpa Street, in Donaldsonville until May 20.
