BATON ROUGE, La. (BR Proud) — Any other Mardi Gras would show a flooded French Quarter full carnival goers adorned with beads hoisting a world famous Pat O’Brien’s Hurricane in the air. New Orleans city government was forced to shutdown the celebration this year, as the country works toward decreasing coronavirus cases.

A live look at the “New Orleans Cam” provided by EarthCam is positioned catty-corner to Cat’s Meow, a French Quarter staple known for its karaoke stage. The presence of law enforcement outweighs festival goers and barricades block revelers from traveling down Bourbon Street.
