BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Tickets for the 50th annual Bayou Classic have officially gone on sale Thursday.
According to the website, the Bayou Classic is a historic rivalry between two Louisiana HBCUs, Grambling State University and Southern University. The rivalry dates back to 1974 when the game was first held under the name “Bayou Classic.”
Of the many events held in lieu of the Bayou Classic, the most attended event would be the Battle of the Bands and the Greek Step Show.
The battle of the bands is held at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24 and the game is held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, both in the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
