BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Before the Southern University Jaguars take on the Alabama A&M Bulldogs at 6 p.m. Saturday, the athletics department is expecting large crowds and wants fans to be aware of parking, tailgating and more.
The Southern Univerity Athletics Department asks that fans arrive early and have their electronic tickets downloaded before coming to campus. Printed tickets from the SU ticket office will work at the entry gates.
Parking areas will be available on a first-come basis, and shuttles will be available in certain areas to bring fans to the stadium.
Parking
Fans who park in the paid or reserved lots must have their hang tags visible on vehicles or risk being towed or ticketed. Areas on Isabel Herson Drive or the Southern University Laboratory School will be available for parking. General parking is $20, and will only be made available on game day.
The university asks that fans use the Limited Mobility/Reserved Lot manifest for a complete list of lots and available shuttle locations. See that here.

Tailgating
Tailgating begins at 6 a.m. and once fans leave campus they will not be allowed to re-enter. Glass containers are not allowed during tailgating and playing music on speakers must be confined to a fan’s tailgating area.
Cooking on campus
A statewide burn ban is still in place. The university asks that fans tailgate safely with no open flames. The use of open flames in fire pits, campfires, barrels, bonfires and burn piles is not allowed on campus.
Stadium policies
The athletics department has implemented a clear bag policy to limit the size and types of bags fans bring to A.W. Mumford Stadium, F.G. Clark Activity Center and Lee Hines Stadium. Find size requirements here. Umbrellas, strollers and camera bags are not allowed in the stadium.
Stadium chair back seats should not be any bigger than 17″ wide. Firearms, alcohol, outside food and beverages, coolers and cameras with extended lenses are prohibited in the stadium.
