Former Saints K Garrett Hartley pays tribute to the late Tom Dempsey

NEW ORLEANS, LA – Former Saints kicker Garrett Hartley honored the late Tom Dempsey today by kicking a 63 yard field goal. The significance of the yardage relates to Dempsey’s 63 yard field goal kicked in 1970 that set an NFL record for the longest field goal.

Hartley was with the New Orleans Saints for five seasons, including their Super Bowl run in 2009-10. He is currently a free agent.

Tom Dempsey passed away from complications of the corona virus on Saturday.
