Report: Saints to start Ian Book at quarterback against the Dolphins

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A Saints season for the history books is adding a new chapter.

According to multiple reports, the New Orleans Saints will start Ian Book at quarterback on Monday when the team faces the Miami Dolphins.

The #Saints are starting Ian Book this weekend, per me and @TomPelissero. With Trevor Siemian out, Taysom Hill is going on the COVID-19 reserve list.

According to the NFL Network and ESPN, both Taysom Hill and Trevor Siemian are expected to land on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

This would be Book’s first NFL start of his career. He was selected in the 4th round of the 2021 NFL draft.

The Saints are coming off a 9-0 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
