METAIRIE, La. (BRPROUD)- One of the biggest names has returned to the gridiron, wide receiver Michael Thomas. Thomas was at practice Tuesday, marking the first time he appeared at OTAs this off season.
He didn’t fully participate, but simulated some routes and worked with the quarterbacks by himself after the media shooting period.

Thomas may not have fully participated in practice since week three of last season, but he feels like he hasn’t missed a beat.

“First day of school, that’s kind of what it felt like,” he said. “Just being around the guys, the camaraderie, talking football with Derek, getting on the same page, talking to coaches, his game plan and just basically burn that camaraderie to be able to build something special from just on the outside looking in.”

The team was glad to see him back.

Derek Carr said, “He’s just he’s such a worker that, you know, that’s probably why, you know, sometimes injuries happen when you play that hard and work that hard and you don’t ever ask God like that to tone down. You know, you keep going as long as you can, you know. And so just being around him, like I said, you talk to him on the phone, you feel like you can win a football game with just you two out there, you know, and being around him now, he just brings that energy about him that you feel the same way.”

Thomas says he will be fully ready by training camp.
