The New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President and General Manager Mickey Loomis announced the team has terminated guard Larry Warford’s contract.

Warford is a seven-year NFL veteran who the Detroit Lions drafted 65th overall in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. After four years with Detroit, the Saints signed him as an unrestricted free agent in 2017.

Warford has been to the Pro Bowl in each of his three years with the Saints, and in the 2019 season, he started in 15 regular season games and the NFC Wild Card Playoff game versus the Minnesota Vikings.

Warford thanked the Saints’ organization and the city of New Orleans after his contract was cut short on Twitter Friday.
