METAIRIE, La. (BRPROUD) – On Tuesday, May 23, the New Orleans Saints completed their first day of OTAs.
Former LSU Tigers tight end Foster Moreau signed with the Saints in May. Earlier this year, Moreau was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma.
The new Saints tight end talked about his journey on Tuesday. Moreau said, “the struggle that I had to face was more mental than anything, so the real heroes are the kids in the children’s hospitals that are really fighting with real chemotherapy, real radiation, those are the strong ones.”
Saints head coach Dennis Allen said, “I know he’s been in here for about the last ten days, he’s working hard, looks good physically and I think he’s going to be a good addition for us.”
The Saints are working on team chemistry. “That’s what it’s about, giving guys chances,” said Saints quarterback Derek Carr.
New Orleans is coming off a season where they finished with a record of 7-10.
