METAIRIE, La. – The New Orleans Saints offensive line takes a hit with center Cesar Ruiz on injured reserve after suffering a foot injury on the final play of the Falcons game.

Head coach Dennis Allen told media Ruiz has lisfranc and will be out for the rest of the season.

“We’ve learned a ton from each other. We obviously came in with each other our ability to push each other when we’re working during practice and all those things,”  said New Orleans Saints offensive lineman Calvin Throckmorton.

“It’s definitely hard to lose a guy like Cesar. He was having a great year. He’s been around like four years now. It’s hard to lose a guy like, that especially when he was having a good year,” New Orleans Saints offensive lineman Trevor Penning.

“You’re just trying to put the best five on the field and see how far and what advantages we can get that way. Whatever it is, we’re gonna be confident in the game plan. Nothing’s going to change in that sense. Putting the best five on the field and going to work as a group,” said Throckmorton.
