NEW ORLEANS, LA (BRPROUD) – The Saints practiced Wednesday morning outside at the Ochsner Sports Performance Center on a windy, overcast day.

Safety Malcolm Jenkins, OG Andrus Peat, DT Jalen Dalton, and linebackers Zack Baun and Anthony Chickillo were all absent from practice.

Quarterback Drew Brees had an off day, but was still present at practice in a ballcap.

Running back Alvin Kamara, OT Ryan Ramczyk, and DL Shy Tuttle all returned to practice.

Head coach Sean Payton announced that the team is set to scrimmage in Mercedes-Benz Superdome this Saturday.

Rookie Cesar Ruiz continued getting reps at center. Payton was asked about the situation at center and right guard and he said, “it’s gone the way we’d hope…he’s (Cesar Ruiz) handled the center position…Erik (McCoy) is handling the guard snaps…will continue to look at situations.”

Quarterbacks Taysom Hill and Jameis Winston were intercepted twice (interceptions by Patrick Robinson, P.J. Williams and Keith Washington).

Kicker Wil Lutz made all six of his field goal attempts, with the longest coming from 41 yards out, despite kicking into the heavy wind.
