BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Cleveland Browns placed five players on their Reserve/COVID-19 list a day before their Week 16 game at the New York Jets, including two former LSU players: wide receiver Jarvis Landry and linebacker Jacob Phillips.
This will be the first time Landry misses a game in his NFL career. The Convent native played in all 16 games during the previous six seasons. He voiced his frustrations on Twitter after the news broke.
Landry has 67 receptions for 789 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Phillips hadn’t said anything on social media, but he was getting ready for just the ninth game of his rookie campaign after battling injuries during the 2020 season.
