BATON ROUGE – The Brian Kelly era kicks off with day 1 of Fall Camp in the books for LSU. The Tigers practiced indoors due to the weather.
All eyes were on the quarterbacks as the QB battle continues for LSU with a stacked QB room. Garrett Nussmeier took snaps with the first team, but don’t read too much into that, it’s still just day 1 of camp.
Coach Kelly got his first glimpse of wide receiver Kayshon Boutte who was sidelined last year dur to an ankle injury. Boutte missed the last 7 games of the season, as well as the entire spring.
“He’s worked so hard,” said Coach Kelly. “I’m excited, you know, for him, really, because as you can see, his potential. Can he be the best receiver in the country? I think he can be. But you’ve got to go out and do it.”
