LSU brings top ranked men and women’s team to NCAA Championships

Baton Rouge, La.  –  The LSU track and field program will enter the NCAA Championships as both the No. 1 ranked team on the women’s and men’s side according to the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field National Ratings Indexes that were released on Tuesday morning.

LSU has 19 entries at the NCAA meet on the women’s side, and the men’s squad has 15 entries. The women have been ranked No. 1 all season long, and the men have been in the top slot in nine of the 10 rankings indexes released this outdoor season.

The NCAA Championships will take place June 9-12 in Eugene, Oregon, at Hayward Field. In order to score points at the NCAA meet, athletes must finish inside the top eight of their respective event. A full list of LSU’s 34 entries to the NCAA meet along with rankings can be viewed below.
