LSU outside top 10 in AP Preseason Poll

BATON ROUGE, La. – The latest preseason poll dropped Monday, and once again, LSU did not rank in the top 10. When the coaches poll released last week, the Tigers ranked 13th, but the Bayou Bengals were lower in the AP Preseason Poll.

The AP listed LSU No. 16 in its preseason rankings. The Purple and Gold were ranked lower than four SEC teams: No. 1 Alabama, No. 5 Georgia, No. 6 Texas A&M and No. 13 Florida.

The full rankings are below, and the Ragin Cajuns made another appearance in the preseason top 25.

LSU’s season-opening opponent UCLA was not ranked, but the Bruins received two votes to be inside the top 25.
