BATON ROUGE, La. – According to Shea Dixon of 247 Sports, LSU sophomore running back Chris Curry entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal.
During the 2020 season, Curry was part of a three-man rotation in the Tigers’ backfield, alongside Ty Davis-Price and John Emery, but his 45 carries for 145 rushing yards were both the least among the three backs.
Curry wore number 18 this past season — the jersey given to the player who best represents what it means to be an LSU Tiger.
The Florida native stepped into the spotlight during LSU’s championship run in 2019. He rushed 16 times for 90 rushing yards (both game highs) in the Tigers’ 63-28 win over Oklahoma in the Peach Bowl.
