BATON ROUGE, La. – LSU running back Corey Kiner announced Monday afternoon the he was entering the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Almost seven hours later, Kiner revealed he was transferring back to his home state and will play for the Cincinnati Bearcats. Kiner won Ohio’s Mr. Football, during his senior season in 2020.
The sophomore racked up 324 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns, while averaging 7.2 yards per carry in his lone season at LSU.
Before coming to Baton Rouge, the Tigers’ new offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock finished a five-year stint with the Bearcats in 2021.
