BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The LSU Women’s basketball team got a sweet win and an even sweeter pair of kicks Friday.
The team’s official Twitter account posted the players opening boxes of Nike Kobe 6 sneakers in the “Grinch” color and said the shoes were a gift from Vanessa Bryant, the widow of Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant.

The team is preparing to face the Miami Hurricanes in their first Elite 8 matchup since 2008. The game is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday.
