The No. 13 LSU Tigers beat the Southern Miss Golden Eagles 6-4, and they will advance to the Super Regional this weekend. The Tigers will host Supers because Florida State defeated Georgia 10-1, earning them a trip to Baton Rouge.

During tonight’s game, history was made as Outfielder Antoine Duplantis passed Dr. Eddy Furniss for the All-time hits record at LSU. Duplantis got the record in the bottom of the first. The Senior took the second pitch he saw to center field and with that the record now stands at 353 hits.

The Tigers scored first off a Josh Smith homerun to lead the charge for LSU. Devin Fontenot got the last six out to seal up the Tigers’ 24 NCAA Regional title.
