BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — No. 10 seed Madison Prep shut out No. 23 seed Woodlawn-Shreveport 54-0 for a first-round win in the Select Division II Bi-District playoffs.
The Chargers were firing on all cylinders, going up 34-0 in the second quarter. Then, to finish out the second quarter, Madison Prep blocked a punt, recovered a fumbled punt and scored a touchdown to lead 41-0 at the half.
Then, in the second half, Madison Prep put it away, opening up the third quarter with a touchdown from quarterback Tylan Johnson to Brandon Blunt to go up, 48-0.
Madison Prep will now face the No. 7 seed, Teurlings Catholic out of Lafayette, in the next round.
